Mentoring:

Mentoring is a tremendous resource available to all Kodak
employees. It has been a way to learn new skills & knowledge, receive
guidance and ideas, learn about Kodak, develop  capabilities and
Network with a variety of people.

My best experience as a Mentee has been learning from my Father
– who taught me, expected a lot and made me feel important. I
hope to continue that tradition.

As a Mentor – I have been able to meet new people, learn from
them and feel like I have made a positive difference in their growth
& development.

As a Mentee – my role is to: do the work that is needed to make me
successful. I can receive guidance – but I have to make things
happen for myself by being pro-active, making decisions and taking
appropriate risks.

Career Mapping:

I have done Career Planning & Mapping every 5-10 years to made
sure that I continued on track to what I want to accomplish. We used
the EDP (Employee Development Plan) to review Plans quarterly.
The Career Mapping that we completed in WFKE (Women’s Forum
for Kodak Employees) has been helpful to identify the
additional things that we need to do to stay on track toward our goal
(s). Because of this – I continue to love what I do and find it hard to
stop working because I enjoy it so much.

Fun:

I love to learn, read and travel with my family. In the past three years
I have been to India, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Sicily,
Greece, Egypt, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, China, Hawaii, &
Alaska. We have been to 49 of the 50 States and 23 countries so
far.

I love meeting people from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
As a Mentor, I have enjoyed mentoring employees and managers
from WFKE (Women’s Forum), APEX (Asia Pacific Exchange), and
NACK (Native American) Networks. My Shanghai Mentoring Quad
has been a successful example of virtual cross-cultural mentoring.
We all learn a great deal from each other and grow skills that
ensure success.
